At this point in time, everything is new. We have had a domain name for 4 years and starting the site always seemed to get put off until later. I guess later is here at last. We hope to keep this site up to date with the latest in products, services, and LC tips for the chromatographer. We send out calendars every year and include a newsletter. Our best intentions have been to send newsletters out 2 or 4 times a year but have never managed to do it. Thanks to the website, we can keep in touch. If you would like to receive a calendar, please go to the comment page and let us know. Be sure to fill in your mailing address completely. Returning one of our completed information request forms, automatically adds you to our calendar mailing list.

With the rising (understatement) gas prices, I have to rethink my pricing. A few years ago I raised my hourly rate to $150/hour from $120/hr in response to escalating insurance premiums. I found that my agency at the time was grossly overcharging me and my new agency has reduced my rate to one fifth. This savings, plus increased travel expense, has led to an adjustment in travel zone prices and my hourly rate. The hourly rate will be lowered to $110/hour and travel may be doubled. Travel just covered expenses in the past but with a fill-up running $50 to $60, I need to watch travel expenses to come to a fair rate. Airfares have doubled this spring, also.
I have been traveling to Phoenix, AZ this past year to visit with friends from high school and college. As these trips are becoming quite regular, I'm looking into picking up some business out that way to pay for the trips and provide a some income. With the northeast experiencing some of the coldest weather of the year, a second office in warm Phoenix has a certain appeal.
Business was down, mostly because the people who know me are retiring, moving out of the area, and being downsized. I'm going to try some mass mailings to the scientific community in Phoenix and here in the Philly to DC area in an effort to introduce HPLC Consulting and Service to new people. This website covers the basics but if you have specific questions, don't hesitate to call.
We wish you all a good summer.
